Idealcombi aims at ensuring as little adverse environmental impact as possible from the operations of the business. We feel, and have always felt, very strongly about sustainability and the environment. In production, we have reduced our energy consumption by using frequency-controlled motors, just as we have replaced potentially hazardous substances and materials with alternatives with much less adverse environmental impact. We continue to manufacture our windows and doors from timber from sustainable forestry as we have done for many years.
We have obtained FSC® certification, and 80-90% of our timber consumption comes from certified forestry. Further information about FSC certification is available here: www.fsc.org All surplus timber from production is used in the factory’s own heating system and surplus aluminium and glass are recycled.
